Despite a last-minute change of venue, the Pucks for Prostates hockey tournament was a huge success! Hosted in partnership with FET Multilevel Solutions, the tournament brought together six teams for a day of competitive hockey, community spirit, and support for men’s health.
Originally set to be played outdoors, a quick pivot moved the action inside to WIN Sport Arena, ensuring the games went on without a hitch. Players hit the ice with energy and determination, cheered on by a great crowd, including Calgary Flames alumni Ron Sutter and Cory Sarich, who made a special appearance.
Off the ice, the MAN VAN® was on-site, offering free PSA tests to men in attendance. We had a fantastic turnout, with many taking the opportunity to prioritize their health and learn more about the importance of early detection.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of Curtis from FET Multilevel Solutions, the participating teams, and our partners at FET Multilevel Solutions, the tournament raised an outstanding $18,000+ in support of the Prostate Cancer Centre. These funds will directly help provide life-saving services, including PSA testing through the MAN VAN®, to men across Alberta.
A huge thank you to everyone who played, cheered, and supported this fantastic event. Your contributions are making a real impact in the fight against prostate cancer. See you on the ice next year!
