TD Bank Becomes New Sponsor of MAN VAN® Program, Donating $300,000 Over Three Years

TD Bank has proudly announced its new sponsorship of the MAN VAN® program, a vital initiative aimed at supporting the health and well-being of men and their families in Alberta. As part of its Ready Commitment program, TD is contributing $300,000 over the next three years to ensure the continuation and expansion of the MAN VAN®’s essential services.

The MAN VAN®, operated by the Prostate Cancer Centre, offers free health screenings and education, emphasizing the importance of early detection and proactive health management among men. This mobile unit travels across Alberta, making crucial health services accessible to men who might not otherwise seek medical attention. Services include screening for prostate cancer, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol tests, all of which play a critical role in maintaining men’s health.

TD’s significant donation is a testament to its ongoing commitment to community health and wellness. Through the Ready Commitment program, TD focuses on supporting initiatives that drive positive social and economic outcomes. By backing the MAN VAN®, TD is directly contributing to the well-being of Albertan men and their families, promoting healthier communities across the province.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Prostate Cancer Centre and support the MAN VAN® program,” said a TD spokesperson. “This initiative aligns perfectly with our goal to create more inclusive, vibrant, and healthy communities. We believe that by investing in programs that provide accessible healthcare services, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of many Albertans.”

The Prostate Cancer Centre has expressed gratitude for TD’s generosity, highlighting how the funds will enhance the MAN VAN®’s reach and effectiveness. “TD’s support allows us to expand our services and ensure that more men across Alberta have access to essential health screenings. Early detection and education are key to preventing serious health issues, and this donation will enable us to continue making a difference,” said Jeff Davison, CEO of the Prostate Cancer Centre.

This partnership not only underscores TD’s dedication to community health but also reinforces the importance of corporate social responsibility in fostering societal well-being. With TD’s support, the MAN VAN® program is well-positioned to make a lasting, positive impact on the health of men and their families throughout Alberta.
